KCS OACS Volunteers Join Advocate for Aging Event

In a strong show of support for the elderly community, eight dedicated volunteers from KCS OACS participated in the Advocate for Aging event organized by the United Neighborhood Houses (UNH) at City Hall yesterday. This event brought together a diverse group of aging service providers committed to reversing detrimental budget cuts and advocating for increased funding in the upcoming fiscal years.

Addressing Critical Budget Cuts

The collective efforts focused on addressing significant budget cuts exceeding $100 million over the next three years. These cuts severely threaten essential services and support for older adults. The participants emphasized the importance of maintaining and increasing funding to ensure that the elderly receive the care and services they need.
