Celebrating the Success of LiveOn NY’s 29th Annual Aging Advocacy Day

A Day of Advocacy and Impact

LiveOn NY’s 29th Annual Aging Advocacy Day marked a significant achievement in our ongoing efforts to support older New Yorkers. Held at City Hall Park, the event saw nearly 600 attendees unite to advocate for enhanced funding for aging services in New York. This remarkable gathering demonstrated the community’s dedication to improving the lives of older adults through increased support for vital services.

Council Members Lynn C. Sculaman, Mercedes Narcisse, and Crystal Hudson were at the forefront, lending their voices and influence to champion our cause. Their efforts, alongside the passionate advocacy of all participants, emphasized the need for substantial improvements in older adult centers, Case Management services, and Home Delivered Meals programs.

Shaping a Better Future

The collective action taken on this day highlighted the power of community involvement in shaping public policy and ensuring a better future for all New Yorkers. The advocacy did not just echo through the halls of City Hall Park but also resonated with decision-makers who can enact change. Thanks to everyone’s participation and dedication, we are making significant strides towards a more supportive and inclusive New York for our aging population.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to advocate for and implement the changes needed to enhance the quality of life for our senior community.
