A Successful Health Event at KCS Palisades Park
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the KCS Palisades Park office on Saturday, January 13th, for our comprehensive health event. Our Public Health Resource Center (PHRC) New Jersey team led an informative session that delved into two critical health topics. The first part of the session focused on open enrollment for GetCovered NJ. Our team provided an in-depth explanation of how GetCovered NJ works and offered assistance to those interested in enrolling. The second part addressed the challenges of the ‘Tripledemic’ – flu, COVID-19, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), which are particularly pertinent during these times.
Expert Insights and Community Health Initiatives
We were privileged to have Pharmacist Billy Kim from New Jersey’s Dream Pharmacy join us to conduct a seminar on the three major respiratory epidemics. His expertise offered invaluable insights into understanding and navigating these health challenges. Alongside, our KCS health insurance counseling staff was available to provide essential information and guidance on enrolling in the New Jersey government health insurance program, GetCoveredNJ. To further enhance community health support, hepatitis B screenings were conducted at the event, aligning with our commitment to proactive health management. We encourage everyone to stay informed and actively manage their health in partnership with KCS.
