KCS PHRC’s Sweet Truth Campaign

KCS PHRC Advocacy at City Hall

KCS PHRC (Korean Community Services Public Health Resource Center) has been actively engaged in the Sweet Truth Campaign, advocating for the addition of warning signs on fountain sodas containing significant added sugar. Our collaboration with partners CSPI (Center for Science in the Public Health) and IPHN (Interfaith Public Health Network) marks a crucial step in this endeavor. Currently present at City Hall, we are privileged to witness the conclusive stages of the legislative process. The Council Members present, Keith Powers and Linda Lee, signify the significance of our collective efforts in the fight for public health and consumer awareness.

Empowering Health Awareness

This collaborative initiative aligns with our commitment to promoting health and well-being within the community. As an integral part of the Sweet Truth Campaign, our involvement underscores the importance of transparency in educating the public about the risks associated with excessive sugar consumption. The presence of Council Members Powers and Lee at this pivotal legislative phase further emphasizes the dedication of KCS PHRC and its partners to effecting positive change for public health policies.
