How We Serve the Community

KCS’s healthcare navigation program assists individuals in accessing healthcare and understanding the U.S. healthcare system. We collaborate with Access Health NYC, NYC Care, and GetCovered NJ to provide education, outreach, and personalized support.

 

Our multilingual staff helps individuals:

– Enroll in health insurance in New York and New Jersey

– Understand and navigate the healthcare system

– Participate in workshops covering U.S. healthcare topics

Make an appointment for counseling and healthcare enrollment assistance. Our navigators are available in English, Korean, Chinese, and Spanish.

KCS is part of the Managed Care & Consumer Assistance Program (MCCAP) network. Our counselors assist clients in understanding healthcare options and coverage and in resolving medical billing issues, appeals, and complaints.

 

As a member of the Independent Consumer Advocacy Network (ICAN), we help Medicaid enrollees find and enroll in a managed care plan, particularly to those needing long-term care or behavioral health services.

KCS provides education, screenings, and outreach events to prevent and manage chronic diseases. Our patient navigators offer testing for conditions such as Hepatitis B and breast cancer, and connect patients to appropriate prevention, care, and treatment services through our partner clinics and hospitals.

The Social Care Network (SCN) helps Medicaid recipients in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island connect with essential social services, including nutrition, housing, employment, education, and transportation.

Through SCN, KCS collaborates with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to link individuals to the services that best meet their needs. Our KCS Navigators are available to guide and support you in accessing the right resources.

Sign Up for Medicaid Social Care Network:

KCS conducts research in collaboration with educational institutes on topics including successful aging, dementia, and various cancers (breast, liver, lung, colorectal, cervical, and stomach).

The Western Queens Initiative focuses on supporting undeserved communities, including Spanish-speaking immigrants, AAPI immigrants, and other minority groups residing in Western Queens.

 

– Access to Care: Uninsured and undocumented New Yorkers can receive primary care through NYC CARE.

– Immigrants Rights: We empower new migrants and immigrants by providing knowledge about their legal rights through our Immigrants’ Rights Workshop.

– COVID-19 Support: Our team delivers essential information, navigation, and referrals to address COVID-19 related health disparities in the NYC TRIE zip codes.

KCS helps New Yorkers access essential public benefits and community resources to support their health, well-being, and daily needs. Our team provides guidance on eligibility, applications, and enrollment for a variety of programs.
